I’m one of those “rare” native Tucsonans you hear about. I grew up on the east side and worked in the family furniture businesses (Mitchell’s Furniture and Browse Around Furniture) in my early life, got into the automotive business for a few years and then started in the insurance business as a captive agent in 1995.
I “did my time” as a captive agent for a major insurance company for 10-years but my clients were “landlocked” with no choices, other than what the one company I represented had to offer.
In 2006, I chose to become an Independent Trusted Choice Agent. I now can offer my clients 100’s of choices in companies and coverages allowing me to provide the best possible coverages that fit my clients needs.
I’ve built the agency on trust and reputation and always strive to make sure my clients are my priority. I no longer have to try and “shoehorn” my clients into a policy, it gives me great confidence and value knowing I can offer current and prospective clients, the best companies in the insurance industry. I like being an Independent Agent as it lets me serve and lookout for the best interest of my clients, not the insurance company.
My wife Sandra has been active in the business but currently works in the Vail School District for over 13 years. We have 2 children and 3 grandchildren, and 2 dogs, Jack and Heidi. I love motorcycles, raced motocross for pleasure when I was younger, and I’m an avid bicyclist enjoying mountain biking, road bikes and quads. We like to take our quads and my modified Jeep YJ out on the trails near our home in Vail, and head for the pines when it gets hot. When I’m not in the office, I’m usually outside riding or working on the Jeep or some other motorized machine.
